Frequently Asked Questions

RoadGuard is an advanced road condition monitoring system designed to support county gravel-road maintenance. It continuously monitors road conditions across gravel roads to improve safety and optimize maintenance efforts. RoadGuard collects real-time data from sensors installed on county vehicles, capturing road surface vibrations, GPS positions, and movement data. This information is streamed to a central web-based platform, where it is analyzed by advanced algorithms to assess road conditions, detect problem areas, and prioritize maintenance. RoadGuard provides county road departments with actionable insights to better manage road infrastructure and maintain gravel roads more efficiently.

RoadGuard is a fully self-contained product equipped with sensors to collect real-time data on gravel road conditions within counties. These sensors measure various parameters such as road surface vibrations, GPS positions, and vehicle speed. The collected data is then transmitted to a central web-based platform where sophisticated algorithms analyze it to assess road conditions, detect anomalies, and prioritize maintenance needs. By providing actionable insights, RoadGuard empowers Roads & Bridges departments to proactively manage gravel road infrastructure and enhance safety and operational efficiency.

RoadGuard can also benefit industries such as mining, construction, transportation, logistics, and agriculture by monitoring road conditions to enhance safety, efficiency, and productivity.
